Community Service

Through Hartford Community Court, this innovative program holds people accountable for their quality of life violations through meaningful projects that have a positive community impact.

“Thank you so much for the helping me out with clothes and blankets. I have since gotten hired as an auto body technician and have been able to move into a room (instead of my car). It was your kindness that motivated me.”

— J.J. CPA Client

Enrollment Criteria

Upon receiving a citation from the police, Hartford Community Court requires offenders to perform community service as part of the restorative justice model. This gives individuals an opportunity to give back to the neighborhood for their quality of life violation.

CPA work closely with the Presiding Judge, States Attorney and Human Services staff to guide clients through the community service process and to help meet any social service needs. Clients who successfully complete their community service and other outstanding court obligations have their court case dismissed shortly after completion.
