Washington Street Secure Community Residential Program for Girls

This program provides state of the art community based residential supervision and programming for young women up to age 16 in a secured detention facility. Girls in the program receive supportive counseling, medical and psychiatric services, recreation, and family interventions. Referrals come from the Juvenile Court system and provider network. (1998)

Hamden Secure Community Residential Program for Boys (SAGE)

This is a CSSD-funded community-based residential program for young men up to age 16.  Boys in the program receive medical and psychiatric services, education, and supportive counseling in a secure, gender sensitive setting. This program started as a program for girls but it transitioned into a boys program in 2009. (2009)

Quality Assurance

Assists in the development and review of policy and procedures, work rules and current best practice standards. Conducts on site compliance audits and provide recommendations for quality improvement initiatives and corrective actions.

Conducts post incident reviews and post incident debriefings and provide applicable corrective action recommendations. Conducts pre-service and in service employee training sessions as needed. Assists in the selection of program sites and coordinate necessary renovations and construction as needed for the delivery of programs.
