Selections from the Permanent Collection of

The Prison Arts Program of Community Partners in Action

Each year the CPA Prison Arts Program presents an Annual Show of work from artists in the eighteen Connecticut Department of Correction facilities across the state, which is the culmination of each year’s work organizing and assisting with arts classes and projects within the State’s correctional system. Community Partners in Action has made a practice of purchasing several exceptional artworks every year in order to build a Permanent Collection, which travels throughout the state, to public schools, universities, libraries, and community centers. The Permanent Collection has become an invaluable resource, which documents and preserves the extraordinary work of the CPA Prison Arts Program and the artists involved in the Program.

Thank-you to The Edward C. and Ann T. Roberts Foundation for its support of the Permanent Collection
